Ah beloved I lift my gaze to you
In that fair celestial realm,
Where Clouds now hue thine eyes,
And Stars adorn thy helm
What dream to appease my heart
As the arrow taunts the string,
Bound to Terra in these hours,
Born to long for eagles wings
Where have you walked?
Within the ray of a thousand suns?
Where time is naught, but scoffed,
Where darkness flees the holy ones
And surely, grace stands with you there,
Companion, mentor, guide;
For sorrow has despaired,
And joy stands at thy side
Ah beloved
I would not wish thee earthbound
For all is granted thine,
Treasure wrought in halls of fate,
Where dwells the Kingly line
Orion at thy feet;
The Pleiades for thy pleasure,
For it is fit, and just, and meet,
And surely thy due measure
Ah beloved, I lift my gaze to you
In that fair celestial realm,
Where Clouds now hue thine eyes,
And Stars adorn thy helm
For a moment cast thy glance
To Terra here below,
Toward she who scans the heavens,
For she still loves thee so
And should by chance ye reckon,
To sail the starry sky,
Here stand I and beckon,
With tears who ‘ner do dry
Remember me my love,
For I am with thee still:
I send thee there above,
The love death could not kill
