Howl of the Wild

My fathers are ancient
My mothers, queens by right
Luna bathes me in stardust
Shadow gifts me with night

I feast when I hunger
I yield to no man
I am called danger
And I walk this land

My children are succored
By the might of my tribe
My prey is my choosing
And I take no side

I walk where I will
And I suffer no fool
I am always alone
But together we rule

The forest my kingdom
The heavens my vault
The moonlight shines on
To blaze the trail where I walk

The stars dance above
In eternal embrace
Here below sleeps the dove
And the folk of this place

While I range at will
And my heart never rests
Sweet Luna looks on
She blesses my quest

I sing to her beauty
For I am her child
Fair Luna, ablaze
Midst the howl of the wild
